The school had their annual Twilight Sports on the last Wednesday evening of term 1. This is an event for the whole school community involving races for young, old and everything in between. Parents and Friends sold sausages and veggie burgers on the night. Both with the options of coleslaw and onions.
Thanks to all those who helped on the night especially to Marco from the Little Deer Tracks café for making and cooking the veggie burgers that I for one enjoyed on the night. That’s him on the far left of the left hand photo below.
BBQing on a hot night isn’t easy so a big round of applause to everyone who donned an apron, picked up tongs or served on the night. We all really appreciated the time you and energy you devoted to the evening.
Serving wasn’t easy at times, as queues for the BBQ were long, particularly after it was announced things were being sold at half price. Coburgians clearly love a bargain, and indeed a sausage.
By the end of the night it was clearly all too much for some of the younger participants.
Oh, and just for the record, the winners on the night were the blue team.
